Top Benefits of Green Building

  • 3rd Party Quality Assurance
  • Diagnostic Testing
  • Reduced Callbacks
  • Competitive Advantage

3rd Party Quality Assurance

In the ever changing world of energy efficiency and “green” homes, builders often feel overwhelmed by new technologies and design practices. You can feel confident about your product with the EarthCraft program through which you will receive personalized support from your chosen Technical Advisor. Your Technical Advisor will not only provide technical assistance, guidance and testing, but give the 3rd party assurance to make you confident you’re delivering a high quality, comfortable and healthy product to your client.

Diagnostic Testing

You don’t know how well your home will perform until you test it. Current building code relies on visual inspection, but in order to feel confident in the performance of the home, EarthCraft requires blower door and duct blaster testing to confirm the tightness of the home. Comprehensive, third-party verification and diagnostic testing ensures that all EarthCraft homes are a cut above the norm.

Reduced Callbacks

Having an extra set of eyes on your job site ensures your project meets both your expectations and those of the EarthCraft program. Knowing that your home is pursuing certification, your subcontractors will learn to consistently deliver to EarthCraft expectations.

Competitive Advantage

Projects that receive EarthCraft certification meet increased demand in the rapidly expanding green building market. While real estate markets have always been driven by consumer preferences for low-costs and aesthetics, public concern about resource use and energy efficiency now influences the old equation. This change is causing consumers to become increasingly interested in eco-friendly homes and workplaces. Set yourself apart from other builders in your area by certifying to EarthCraft standards.

What Builders Say

““I think it’s important for any forward-thinking builder to be focused on energy efficiency and thinking green…   we’ve researched and adapted the best practices of EarthCraft certification to our construction specifications in an effort to build highly energy efficient homes.”
